Pour one out (or, uh, blend one up while you still can) because Starbucks is officially getting rid of some of its drinks. If you’re a fan of Frappuccinos, White Hot Chocolates, or the Royal English Breakfast Latte, you might want to get your last sips in before they vanish like foam on a cappuccino.
Starting March 4, Starbucks is simplifying its menu, which means some lesser-ordered, more complicated-to-make beverages are getting the boot.
But here’s the official list of drinks that are set to be removed, which the company shared with The Associated Press:
- Iced Matcha Lemonade
- Espresso Frappuccino
- Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino
- Java Chip Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
- Chai Crème Frappuccino
- Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino
- Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino
- Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino
- White Hot Chocolate
- Royal English Breakfast Latte
But why, Starbucks? Why?
The company says the move is all about quality over quantity—focusing on more popular drinks, reducing wait times, and making things easier for baristas. Apparently, a 30% menu reduction is on the horizon by the end of 2025, which means this is just the beginning.
And while some drinks are leaving us, new options are on the way.

Starbucks is bringing back Lavender beverages (because nothing says spring like sipping on a purple latte) and rolling out fresh creations like Iced Cherry Chai and a Jalapeño Chicken Pocket (for those who like a little spice with their caffeine).
The bigger picture: a return to Starbucks’ coffee roots?
Starbucks is trying to lean back into its coffeehouse identity, which means fewer drinks that require a PhD in Blender Operations and more focus on premium, espresso-based drinks. They recently introduced the Cortado, a small-but-mighty espresso option, and it’s apparently doing better than expected.
So, if you’re mourning the loss of your favorite sugary Frappuccino, now might be the time to branch out and embrace the simpler, stronger side of Starbucks’ menu.
Or, you know, just start hoarding Royal English Breakfast Lattes while you still can.
