Heads up, frozen meal fans—Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall on several popular Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals after discovering a mislabeling issue that could put consumers with soy allergies at risk.

Which Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s products are affected?

The recall, announced by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), affects specific batches of ravioli, stir fry, and lasagna products sold nationwide.

The meals may contain soy—a common allergen—that wasn’t properly disclosed on the ingredient labels.

Why the recall?

Nestle issued the recall due to a packaging mix-up led to the use of soy-containing ingredients without proper labeling.

While no allergic reactions have been reported so far, the recall was issued out of caution to protect consumers with soy allergies.

What to do if you have a recalled Stouffer’s or Lean Cuisine meal

If you’ve purchased any of the above meals:

  • Check the batch number and best-before date listed on the package.
  • Do not consume the product if it matches the affected batches.
  • You can return the product to the store for a full refund or safely discard it.

Not the only recall

While you’re checking labels, there’s another recent recall worth noting.

International Delight just recalled select flavors of its popular coffee creamers due to potential contamination risks. If your morning brew isn’t complete without a splash of hazelnut or caramel macchiato, you’ll want to see if your creamer’s affected.
